All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement that you will receive upon booking confirmation or vehicle pickup. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your obligations related to the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Vehicle Rental Requirements
- To hire a vehicle in Chadderton, drivers must be at least 21 years old, although age restrictions can differ based on the vehicle type, with potential extra fees for those under 25. A valid full driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category is required, held for the duration stated in the Rental Agreement. Valid identification and proof of current address must also be presented, alongside payment information and a security deposit. Any other requirements detailed in the Rental Agreement must be met as well.
Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Chadderton office. To confirm your booking, a deposit may be necessary. The remaining balance and security deposit are generally collected at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards through secure payment channels.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection, it is your responsibility to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed for both parties to sign. The vehicle should be returned in the same condition as it was collected, considering normal wear and tear. - All rentals include basic third-party insurance. You will find comprehensive coverage details and excess amounts in your Rental Agreement. There are options for additional insurance that can further limit your financial liability. It is advisable to review these options thoroughly. You are accountable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless you have opted for additional coverage. Responsibility for damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms lies with you, irrespective of insurance coverage.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For specific details, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows could incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- Prohibited activities include any illegal use of the vehicle, such as racing, rallying, or off-roading. The transport of hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. Vehicles must be used within their intended purpose and must not exceed passenger or weight limits. Driving outside the agreed geographical areas requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and fees.
Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by law in England and Wales, Car Hire in Chadderton will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the total amount you paid for the rental in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in English and Welsh courts.
